Culture, culture, culture

My friend Judi was visiting from Seattle last week, so we went to the Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth to see The Age of Impressionism exhibit visiting from the Clark Museum. Monet, Manet, Picasso, Renoir, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec and more. Even typing their names gives me a thrill. The exhibit will be up through June, so you should treat yourself and go if you get a chance.

Here we are showing off my bag from the gift shop. Even at a museum it's partly about the shopping.

We went to the Amon Carter Museum, too. They were displaying four paintings by John Singer Sargeant. Only four, but I love JSS, so it was worth it. The next day we went to the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas. In addition to the sculpture inside there is an amazing outdoor garden area full of trees and flowers, water features and of course sculpture, too. Such a beautiful peaceful place in the middle of Dallas. And Judi was a good sport about my driving home from Dallas in going home traffic with only one good eye. Thanks for the lovely visit, Judi!

  1. Love the bag Molly! Museum shops are the best place to get accessories--they're unique, colorful, and they have a new stock with every exhibit! Plus you get to see the classics. It can't get any better!

  2. I know, Kym! Judi got the best scarf. I don't know if you can see it in the picture. I bought a yellow purse and a cat wine stopper. Both necessities, of course.

    1. I wish you were here, too, Shezzie! I got a stinking eye infection. Poor Judi thought I was giving her the stink eye the whole time...
